Bill practices in the areas of Estate and Tax Planning, Estate Administration, Asset Protection, Elder Law and Guardianship. He prepares simple and complex estate plans and related documents for clients in a wide range of circumstances, advises clients on the transfer of assets – including business interests – upon retirement, death or incapacity, and represents clients in hearings before judicial authorities in matters of estate administration and legal capacity.
Bill is certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, and is an elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is also accredited by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs to assist veterans with the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for Veteran’s Affairs benefits.
Bill speaks frequently on subjects concerning estate and tax planning and estate administration, including seminars presented in conjunction with financial services providers.
Bill is a North Carolina native. He received both his B.A. and J.D. from Wake Forest University. He and his wife Cathy live in Raleigh with their two sons. The family enjoys spending time in the Grandfather Mountain area of North Carolina.
